The story behind The Doghouse Collective
Hi, I’m Rhiannon — founder of The Doghouse Collective.
With over 15 years of professional experience and an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour, my work is grounded in more than just care — it’s rooted in understanding how dogs think, feel and respond to the world around them.
Weddings, new environments and time away from home can be overstimulating for even the most confident dog. My role is to ensure they experience these moments in a way that feels steady, supported and emotionally safe.
The Doghouse Collective was created in 2025, following the birth of my son, with a desire to build something slower and more intentional — a style of dog care centred around calm, structure and individual attention.
Today, I specialise in behaviour-informed home boarding and wedding chaperoning. Every interaction is shaped by subtle observation — reading body language, anticipating stress signals, adjusting the environment before overwhelm occurs.
This isn’t simply supervision.
It’s proactive, behaviour-led support designed to help your dog feel secure, regulated and at ease — whether settling into my home or standing beside you during your ceremony.
I work with a limited number of clients to ensure unhurried, one-to-one care. No busy group settings. No rushed handling. Just thoughtful presence and quiet professionalism.
Alongside my Labrador, Callie, my first “baby” and daily reminder of why this work matters — I’ve built The Doghouse Collective around trust, steadiness and emotional awareness.
Because every experience should be enjoyable, safe, and stress-free for your dog.
